Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the summer break with your children. As we approach the beginning of the new school year, we want to ensure that our students are prepared and ready to start school in just a few short weeks.
First, student supplies for the 2023-2024 school year will be provided by West Park Elementary. Your student will only be responsible for bringing a backpack and pencil box. If your child has a favorite pair of headphones (no wireless headphones) that would also be a great addition to help your student connect to technology in the classroom.
Second, after careful consideration and feedback, we have made the decision to eliminate the mandatory uniform policy. Starting from the beginning of the new academic year, students will no longer be required to wear uniforms during school hours. While uniforms will no longer be required, we do expect students to adhere to a dress code that promotes a positive and respectful atmosphere for everyone. You will receive dress code guidelines in the 2023-2024 Code of Conduct.
Lastly, we look forward to seeing you all at our Back to School Breakfast on August 15th, from 9:00-11:00 am. Please come, enjoy breakfast, take a tour of the building, and meet your child's teacher. We can't wait to see you all soon!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We wish you a restful remainder of the summer and are excited to welcome our students back to school on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023.
