Student Council

Student Council is a student led organization that works to make the school more learning friendly.

Student Council is open to students in grades 3-5. These students are leaders and are expected to maintain a positive image for the rest of the school: no missing assignments, 95% attendance, and zero office referrals.

Young Leaders of Tomorrow (YLOT)

Young Leaders of Tomorrow is a select group of 4th and 5th grade students who work throughout the year on a service project that will benefit the school and/or community. Students apply by answering two essay questions that involve leadership. This group is recognized at the end of each year by student services at a luncheon showcasing all YLOT projects for the yeart.

Math Relays

Students participated in a team problem-solving event. During the event, students worked together to solve a series of problems and then presented their solution to a judge. Judging took place in the following categories: Math Content, Overall Presentation, and Precision.

Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is responsible for making sure our halls are safe during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. This group is made up of 5th grade students that are nominated by their teacher.

Battle of the Books

A day for showcasing and celebrating our students’ literacy skills and literary lives based on texts read, written works produced, and presentation of knowledge and ideas.  It is about building community within KCK Schools.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the run is a 10 week program that empowers girls to be better citizens to one another as well as increase their physical perception in a positive light.
